-the killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease , typically by the administration of of large doses of painkilling drugs.
While I was raised to believe that any type of murder is wrong, mercy killing seems to be an exception in today’s society. Some may argue that it isn’t murder because the patient is choosing to have his/her life taken but that can easily be debated. Although a patient may have consented to the procedure, I feel that they might not be in the right state to make that sort of life or death decision. With that being said, I am not advocating for mercy killing, nor am I against. I simply understand that both sides of the argument have valid points to support their legitimacy. Every situation is different when dealing with whether a sickly person lives or dies. The next three situations are all different and will all have you with a different opinion.
